| Respect and power of positive disagreement
In this online learning environment, we all need to be sensitive to differences between us, be they cultural, professional or technical. Disagreements can form the basis of some of the best learning in the online classroom. They force us reconsider our position, to see information in a new light. However, they need to be handled with sensitivity and consideration for our fellow learners. |
An Open Minded Approach…Unless we are all open to changing our minds and having the ground shift underneath us sometimes, all our respectful disagreement will be for nothing! We should keep an open mind on discussion topics until we have heard and truly considered the thoughts of our fellow students. |
