What is EndNote?

EndNote is a software program that helps you organise your research. EndNote allows you to:

  • Record, store and manage references
  • Add references manually or search and download directly from online databases and library catalogues
  • Use a feature called Cite While You Write which allows you to insert references and automatically create bibliographies for your papers

What does an Endnote library look like?

Citing & Referencing using the Cite While You Write (CWYW) Plug in in Microsoft Word

The Cite While You Write plugin allows communication between EndNote and Microsoft Word. Using the Insert Citation option you will be able to being in references from your Endnote library and using the Edit & Manage Citations option you will be able to edit citations (more on this later).
